Mr. Lawhead has taught in Pinellas County for the last 36 years.  An Ohio native, He moved to Florida after receiving his undergraduate degree in Music Education.  He later earned his graduate degree in choral conducting from USF in Tampa.

 

Mr. Lawhead has taught all levels of music and especially enjoys the elementary grades.  Most of his teaching career was spent at St. Petersburg High School where he directed the choral music program and taught IB Music, AP Music Theory and Keyboard.  Mr. Lawhead also taught applied voice at SPC for 18 years as an adjunct professor.

 

With three adult children and three grandchildren, Mr. Lawhead jumps at every chance to travel and visit with them.  When not traveling or singing, you might find him riding his 2 wheel cycle or 3 wheel motorcycle or some other outdoor activity.
